Invisible Sound

Unlike conventional loudspeaker systems that use a moving coil to drive a cone diaphragm, the innovative technology used by the invisible sound devices is able to amplify an audio signal using a special magnetostrictive alloy that activates the surface to which it is applied, transforming it into a loudspeaker. The resulting transmitting surface has significant advantages over traditional loudspeaker systems.

  • The resulting sound is clearer, especially in “complex areas” where there is a lot of competing sound sources and interference such as stations and shopping centres.
  • The invisible sound solution is much “greener” – typically the energy used is 25% of that of conventional systems, producing significant cost advantages.

  • The installation costs are typically one third that of conventional loudspeaker based systems and the ongoing maintenance costs are also significantly lower because there are no moving parts.

  • The great flexibility enables innovative sound solutions to be designed and simply installed – solutions that would not be cost effective using conventional loudspeaker technology.

Primarily designed as a professional solution intended to be embedded in structures, such as buildings, cars, planes, buses, undergrounds, airports, public roads and parks, pools etc. the invisible sound devices can also be installed in domestic situations being embedded in furniture, walls, bathrooms and kitchens – everywhere except where top-of-the-range hi-fi quality sound is required.

There are four main components:
1.    embedding strip
2.    sound emitters
3.    bass units
4    amplifiers

This solution can be used in combination so that the final product can be scaled and customised for a whole range of professional applications.

The system is designed for professional applications to create an invisible sound systems.
