Izu Sushi restaurant in Milan gets invisible sound |

Milan, Italy (19th July 2010) M2M Sound have just completed the sale and installation of an invisible sound system for the beautiful Izu Japanese restaurant.
The restaurant reopened last week after having been redecorated and restructured to give it a whole new look and feel befitting of Milan’s refined taste. Architects decided to liven up its classic design with a touch of modernity. To ensure the design wasn’t spoiled, they decided to implement the latest sound technology - our innovative “Invisible Sound” solution.
The architects agreed that the installation of “Figaro” is a perfect way to create a space in which the music plays an intimate role in creating the ambience, while the system providing the sound is completely hidden and does not interfere with the visual impact of the design.
The solution required” four kits of Figaro covering a surface of about 100 sq. m. Their positioning in four different locations enabled us to achieve a dolby surround sound solution powered by an HK 3390 amplifier with 4 speaker output. “Figaros” were assembled in plaster panels covering brick walls and later painted, three of them above the metal frames of the restaurant’s windows and the fourth one in the false ceiling above one the main dining area.
It can’t be overestimated how intrusive the effect of having sound coming from a point source can be while trying to enjoy a conversation over dinner and now at Izu that won’t be a problem anymore. The homologous sound field the system produces will allow the patrons to feel gently enveloped by sound without it being distracting or annoying.
